About EuroClimateCheck

EuroClimateCheck is an innovative initiative empowering Europe’s fact-checking community to combat climate-related disinformation effectively.

Climate misinformation poses a growing threat, spreading rapidly across digital platforms. To counteract this, we’ve brought together 25 fact-checking organizations across 15 European countries, renowned university partners, and leading technology firms.

Together with the support of the European Commission, we’ve developed the FactCRICIS Resource Pack, an advanced toolkit featuring:

  • Cutting-edge AI-driven fact-checking tools
  • A centralized, regularly updated database of climate misinformation cases
  • Expert-curated resources to quickly debunk national and cross-border false claims

Transparency and collaboration drive our approach. EuroClimateCheck offers an open-access platform providing fact-checkers, journalists, researchers, and the general public with reliable, verified information on climate issues.
